Test Programs for the Telecontrol Protocols

WinPP101 is a test program for the telecontrol protocol IEC 870-5-101. It receives, tests, filters, stores, prints and transmits IEC 870-5-101 messages. Additionally, it can listen and logically output ABB RP570 and RP571 telegrams. Interfacing to the telecontrol equipment is done via the serial interface COM. The program supports two COM interfaces. It is possible to run the program several times simultaneously
and thus support several COM interfaces.
If you wish to monitor the command and monitoring directions simultaneously then you need two free COM interfaces. For simulation you need one free COM interface.

WinPP103 is a test program for the transmission protocol IEC 60870-5-103. It receives, tests, filters, stores, prints and transmits IEC 60870-5-103 messages. The generic messages are as displayed as hexadecimal strings. Interfacing to the protection equipment is done via the serial interface COM. You may need a RS232 – Fiber Optic interface converter. The program supports two COM interfaces. It is possible to run the program several times simultaneously and thus support several COM interfaces. You can monitor an existing Link or simulate a control system or the protection equipment. You may also simulate a transmission of disturbance data.

WinPP104 is a test program for the telecontrol protocol IEC 60870-5-104. It receives, tests, filters, stores, prints and transmits IEC 60870-5-104 messages. Interfacing to the telecontrol equipment is done via the network interface (LAN, TCP/IP). You can monitor an existing connection or simulate two Masters or two Substations.

WinPP8 is a test program for the SINAUT 8-FW telecontrol protocol developed by Siemens AG. The messages are Pulse Code Modulated (PCM) or Digit Pulse Duration Modulated (DPDM is called PDM in the following). For PCM, the interfacing to the telecontrol system is performed via a serial interface COM. For PDM, it is performed via a message converter. The program supports one or two COM interfaces (PDM or PCM). You can start the program several times on a PC to use several serial interfaces.
